EN50131-8 (European standard for security fogging systems) requires certification of compliance to a few other existing European norms. Due to recent changes to one of these norms, current EN50131-8 certificates were invalidated and all security fog generators had to be re-tested and re-certified.
Furthermore, a second big change is that for the compliance to now be deemed fully valid, the certification must also include reference to system 5 approval. System 5 means that there has also been a full factory audit (FPC) which checks and controls that all units manufactured are produced in accordance to the European norm.
